Surnat’ is recruiting a distribution/production manager

Collectif Surnatural

THE STRUCTURE

Collectif Surnatural provides production and development support for the creative projects of an artistic collective centred around the Surnatural Orchestra, based in Seine-Saint-Denis (Pantin).

Surnatural Orchestra, formed in 2000 and currently comprising 16 musicians, is a large-scale orchestra that embraces the unexpected and performs original arrangements and compositions, whose musical influences combine jazz, popular and folk music, and contemporary styles.

Nourished by the convergence of the group members’ musical worlds, its work has always drawn inspiration from encounters and collaborations with contemporary circus, cinema, theatre and dance, giving rise to unique interdisciplinary performances.

The collective’s activities also include the creation and presentation of smaller-scale performances, as well as the development of artistic and cultural practices for a variety of audiences.

Its current programme includes the creation of two large-scale shows, the staging of a show for young audiences, and several smaller-scale productions.

Its collective structure is similar to that of a theatre company: there is no single artistic director, but rather a collective comprising musicians, stage technicians, an administrator and a production manager.
